You're right, I shouldn't care what people on the internet think. So go lick a marsupial you pubic wookie! XD
I think you misunderstood what I meant. I was saying that if I was a fanboy I would've come up with something stupid like MS paying people off to try and cause an argument. Of course I don't think that MS paid anyone off and think actually that all of this is great for 360 owners. In fact I'm a little envious that I can't use some of my hard disk on the PS3 to move entire games over to ease load times. It's a great idea and really looks like it will benefit a lot of people.
I'll...
You know what, I'll shut up about the whole FPS thing. The point I was trying to make was that the reviewer seemed to be coming at the game from the angle that he would come at a standard FPS game which just isn't the right angle for appreciating the game imo.
Anyway, it seems the point you're more eager to get across is that PS3 fanboys are the worst for stirring things up and that they are the only ones that go into other threads just to cause an argument. All I can say to that...
You what? Where did I copy that from then?
And I just said that installing PS3 games is a hassle so how you figured I'm a PS3 fanboy I don't know...
If I was looking to start a tear up I'd say something like how MS obviously paid these people off or something. My comment was squared solely at the 360 fanboys. I hate them as much as I hate PS3 fanboys and your mum... Not really, your mum's actually quite attractive in the right light.
Damnit Paphitis! Why lie? She's not THAT old, it's nothing to be ashamed of.
I think that was what most people thought. Funny how the internet works. Something does the rounds for long enough and people will start to take it as fact.
Oh, have you heard by the way, Ken Kuturagi has overtaken Barack Obama in the polls for the US presidential election.
I know that, I'm just saying that there will be people who will automatically install their 360 games anyway, so it's just as much hassle as the PS3 install.
Oh come on, all of that was meant light heartedly. I bought COD4 and really enjoyed it. I even played through it multiple times which tends not to happen when I get a game. I was just saying that some people ONLY play FPSs (which there is nothing wrong with) and they are obviously not the people this game is aimed at. And it seems to me that this reviewer is one of those people (and I don't mean that like 'those' people) and hence really isn't the man for the job as he couldn't fully apprecia...
It should definitely help out pop up but, like you said, things like texture res and lighting engines shouldn't be affected unless the code is redone to take advantage of the hard disk thingy.
It'll be interesting to see how many people who have previously bashed the PS3 installations, now come to swear by 360 installations, though.
Nice one Theo, You were always the most level headed of the Dragons.
Rumour is you fancy that Debra lady, is it true?
Wow at all the people saying that the other 111 positive reviews are all wrong. The reason people are kicking up a fuss here is because this review is SO out of line with all the others and marks it down for some ridiculous things: Using the controller to display emotion... How can that possibly be seen as something to bring up as a con for the game??? And the most laughable of them: "Lack of originality". Seriously, GTFO.
I'm willing to accept that this game isn't for ...
I can see there being a lot of problems having the whole dashboard stored on servers that your machine has to have uninterrupted access to whenever you're using it. If anything were to happen to the servers the machines just wouldn't work. I'm sure they've thought about this but it just comes across as a bit dangerous.
I'm a bit confused though, could someone tell me what this NXE actually brings with it because from where I'm sitting all I see is a different menu and some Mii's ...
I know I'm not. Although the fact that SCEE are actually making Home could be a reason for the huge difference in content this is just typical SCEE.
Not likely mate. ;)
For me it was the mission where you had to rescue some guy off the roof of this skyscraper. Everytime I went up there, I would catch him just strolling off the edge. Admittedly I ever made it up there twice but that combined with factions seemingly going out of their way to kill HVTs they're meant to be protecting just sent me over the edge.
Oh yeah, I wasn't justifying it by any means, it's just that 360 fanboys were a little to c0cky back then and now that things are different they shouldn't act so surprised that they're getting a slice of comeuppance.
You're damn right I still care! I'm in the Beta at the mo and have been thoroughly enjoying it. I'm just waiting for all my mates to get hold of it so that I can really start to use it properly.
Seriously, if you're in the Beta, you will understand what all the hype was about back when it was announced.
EDIT: @ 360degrees: The only reason 360 delays are bashed by the PS3 folk is that last year when things weren't going so well for the PS3 you 360 guys were having an...
I have actually stopped playing this game due to all the glitches I keep finding. Once I got bored of blowing absolutely everything you see up (yes, it is possible to get bored of that) I really started to notice these little glitches and they REALLY started to grate on me. Also, the AI is shocking.
but if it's meant to be a secret then keep it a damn secret.
Not really going to be much of a surprise for those that did this now, is it?
Okay, the guy has an opinion, that's fine. I have opinions to and I quite like that fact so I'm not going to make any kind of attempt to disallow his. What I am not happy about is how this guy's opinion is worthy of a whole news article. Every other day kotaku.com has some comment from this prat on their site and I'm fed up of seeing it. He reckons he's some kind of celebrity and people shouldn't be encouraging him like this. I'm not necessarily blaming him (he doesn't control what people wri...
